Stay at home during Eid-El-Fitri – FRSC tells Muslims

Indications are pointing to the possibility that Nigerian Muslims will celebrate the yearly Eid-El-Fitri in the confines of their homes, unlike other times.
This is as the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Thursday, May 21, advised Muslim faithful in the country to observe the religious festival indoors, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
In fact, Iyanda Taofiq, the FRSC unit commander in Sagamu, Ogun state, said that the directive is in line with the federal government’s stay-at-home order aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, had warned against the relaxation of lockdown occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic, saying “one single day will come and spoil all the gains.”
